What is
open-source network?
open-source software (OSS) is computer software with its
source code made available with a licence in which the copyright holder
provides the right to study changes, and distribute the software to anyone
& for any purpose.
Open source network is the most prominent example for
open-source Development.
Open
source follows these key tenants:
·
The freedom to run the program, for any purpose.
·
The freedom to study how the program works, and change it to
make it do what you wish.
·
The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your
neighbor.
·
The freedom to distribute copies of your modified versions to
others.
it's the code computer programmers can manipulate to change
how a piece of software—a "program" or "application"—works.
Programmers who have access to a computer program's source code can improve
that program by adding features to it or fixing parts that don't always work
correctly.
